To celebrate the final month of Edgar Allan Poe's bicentennial, we announce the public release of the limited edition print, “Poe’s Honeymoon,” signed and numbered in pencil by the celebrated artist, Sterling Hundley, known for his work in Rolling Stone, Virginia Living and other national magazines. The striking illustration, featured in the January 2009 issue of Richmond magazine, is the first, and the only known artist’s depiction of Poe’s honeymoon with his cousin Virginia Clemm and is destined to become a sought-after collectible. the moody illustration is an impressionistic, mixed media interpretation of the two honeymooners having breakfast in a setting that still exists today in the building where it occurred. They are ghostlike figures, with Virginia's body seems somewhat transparent. On the walls, a portrait of Poe is shown at right and the "death painting" of Virginia, the only image ever painted of her, is shown at left. She died at 26, and Poe was never the same again.

Limited to an edition of 200, each was signed, numbered, and dated 2009 by the artist at the very site where the honeymoon couple stayed in the former Hiram Haines Coffee House, in Petersburg Virginia. Printed on 100 lb paper each print is museum quality, and a true work of art as well as a timeless Edgar Allan Poe collectible. This edition will never be produced again. Each measures 17 by 20 inches and comes with a certificate of authenticity plus a history of Hiram Haines Coffee House and the story of Poe’s marriage to his cousin Virginia Clemm and the honeymoon.
